Public Speaking before International Audiences

Public Speaking before International Audiences

Making presentations that are informative yet hold the audience attention is difficult especially when speaking on a technical topic.  Making presentations, speaking in roundtables, delivering speeches are skills that can be learned by mostly anyone.  The easiest way to deliver a presentation is to be sure you know the topic inside and out.  Too often speeches are fragmented and topical elements are disjointed because the information is not well understood by the deliverer.

Speaking before an international audience is particularly difficult due in part to the inherent language barriers.  The UN deals with this by interpreting all speeches and presentations into 4 languages.  The speaker then is able to speak in their native tongue while the audience receives the message in one of the four languages.
